West Hampstead is an area in north western London, situated between Hampstead, Swiss Cottage and Kilburn. Originally a village called West End, until the late 19th century when the Metropolitan Railway adopted the name West Hampstead for its station on West End Lane, the main road through the area.
The area is made up of both Victorian houses and modern flats, with property to suit everyone.
There are a large number of independent coffee shops, restaurants, gastro pubs, wine bars and cafes, making the area popular with young professionals and families alike.
Transport links include West Hampstead tube (Jubilee Line), Finchley Road tube (Jubilee & Metropolitan lines) and West Hampstead Thameslink and London Overground offering fast and direct access to Central London, The City and beyond.
